Chasing New Ideas
By Joseph Stanford
The mind decays ideas over time, especially if they are ideas that require action to manifest. How many times have you been very excited to do something - maybe its a fresh idea you just had or an idea that someone just told you - and a few days, if not hours later you find the idea utterly repulsive. You might even feel embarrassed for previously being excited about it.
The idea came to you as an idea in its pure form, straight from the divine and stocked with it’s own fuel for action. But the more you think about that idea, the more your mind starts to attack it and drain its fuel reserves until the idea withers and dies, poisoning your mind’s reservoir of self confidence. Act quickly on new ideas. Strike while the iron is hot.
